Mathias Wolf has been in the culinary industry for 20 years from all parts of the culinary kitchen. He was tired of everyone’s plain blend of herbs and spices and wanted to keep a bright consistent blend to make anyone’s family meal the best.

The first flavor was created and established after Chef Mathias grew tired of going to the bulk section of the seasoning department to create a rub for the nights dinner.

While running a kitchen he met a rep for a spice company who offered to create the seasoning for Chef Mathias. With some math and measuring Wolf Rub Original BBQ seasoning was created.

The first test was pork ribs on the new menu, it was a hit. Chef Mathias knew something was growing and in the works for what is now Wolf Rubs.
Mathias is a native to the Pacific Northwest and has always had a love for the culinary arts. His mother who was a chef herself taught him when he was younger that learning your flavors and spices were one of the most important things to know. Mathias took that to heart especially when he found his love in smoking and barbequing meat.
